This limited edition of only 25 sets is a unique collector’s set to treasure. Hand carved and turned in selected ebony and boxwood as a detailed replica of Jaques original 1899 Club Competition set, which during the previous 50 years had been developed to a level of aesthetic and practical perfection. Each piece, gold blocked ‘Jaques’ on it’s leather base, fits in it’s own individual compartment in a beautiful custom built hand tooled leather casket with a unique Jaques Staunton plate and replica of the original Staunton label signed by the Directors John and Christopher Jaques. It comes complete with a beautiful handmade inlaid wooden chess board, specially made for this set. The price of this chess set reflects it’s uniqueness, for UK and EEC purchases £3,750, for non EEC purchasers £3,350 and for United States purchasers US$ 6,000. All prices include delivery but may be subject to import duties in the country of destination.

They introduced their famous Staunton Chess in 1839 and this is now the standard chess design throughout the world and used for all major championships.
